After serving for 53-years as the home of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga, the agency’s building needed a refresh and more space, especially a much-needed lobby area. The completed renovation provides a learning lab, training room, an outdoor space for program participants, and more offices to accommodate a growing staff.

To complement its capital campaign for the project, the agency sought financing which led to an introduction to BrightBridge. As a CDFI, BrightBridge worked with a bank partner to provide favorable loan terms.

Since celebrating its grand re-opening, Jessica Whatley, CEO of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Chattanooga, commented that

“We’re much more noticeable now” and that the agency projects it will expand the number of children it serves from 400 to 600 by 2025.
